These were all sketches and drawings that were done for the 1957 yearbook at Arroyo High School by Teodoro Pérez Aguilar. The art was inspired from Spanish fantasy heritage. The Spanish fantasy heritage is a romanticization of California’s missionary past. Many of these drawings include ranchero men and women in their traditional garments working, dancing, and in different poses.
